Kenneth has over 15 years of experience in structural engineering design, analysis, and evaluation of building structures. During that time he has focused his practice on the evaluation and design of physical security features for building structures and compounds. Best serves on the Security Architecture/Engineering Council of the American Society for Industrial Security, and on the Sub-committee on Standards for Blast Design of the ASCE’s Committee on Blast, Shock, and Vibratory Effects.
Best has worked for a wide variety of federal agencies including the Architect of the Capitol, U.S. Department of State, Department of Navy, U.S. Marshals Service, the U.S.General Services Administration and others.
Kenneth Best holds a BS in Architectural Engineering from Pennsylvania State University, and is a registered Professional Engineer in Virginia.
